I did not like the
Voysey Inheritance at all, for several reasons. First, the play didn't grab my attention at all. I was lost through the hole thing. I understood what was happening, but I couldn't understand what time period it was in. I knew it was early in history because of the clothes and such things. But I didn't know where it took place, and why it was happening. I also didn't like it because it was just boring. It wasn't a story that had any meaning or any influence to me. Ya you can take out of it, be an honest, just person. But shouldn't we already be honest and just?
My favorite character was Hugh, becuase he brought comedy into a very serious story. I also like the character who was the daughter, I don't remember her name, but she showed how truly selfish everyone is, when she wanted a check for her wedding, and not a gift.
When we talked about it as a class, it seemed like everyone had the same opinion, and the same things to say. It didn't seem like anyone liked it, and everyone said that they were lost through the whole thing, and that it was boring. It is interesting how we live in a world that allows this to happen, becuase it shows how people of power take advantage of people with trust.
