Mrs. Micikas

I was not there for the majority of the meeting, but what I've heard and been told about it, was that it was very interesting. The way she grew up was very interesting, I never knew she grew up with Menonite parents. From what I have heard, her story was very interesting. I'm pretty bummed that I couldn't be there to hear it.

The play

I did not like the Voysey Inheritance at all, for several reasons. First, the play didn't grab my attention at all. I was lost through the hole thing. I understood what was happening, but I couldn't understand what time period it was in. I knew it was early in history because of the clothes and such things. But I didn't know where it took place, and why it was happening. I also didn't like it because it was just boring. It wasn't a story that had any meaning or any influence to me. Ya you can take out of it, be an honest, just person. But shouldn't we already be honest and just?
My favorite character was Hugh, becuase he brought comedy into a very serious story. I also like the character who was the daughter, I don't remember her name, but she showed how truly selfish everyone is, when she wanted a check for her wedding, and not a gift.

When we talked about it as a class, it seemed like everyone had the same opinion, and the same things to say. It didn't seem like anyone liked it, and everyone said that they were lost through the whole thing, and that it was boring. It is interesting how we live in a world that allows this to happen, becuase it shows how people of power take advantage of people with trust.

Passion of the Christ

The movie Passion of the Christ portrais a Christian worldview. The values that this movie are projecting is the struggle of Jesus Christ. The purpose of the movie is to make the viewers realize the events and struggle that Jesus went through prior to being crucified. I agree'd with the producer in that the world or at least the Christian population should know the pain Jesus went through.

Homecoming Week

As a student I enjoy homecoming week, its a nice change of pace and a good time to joke around. My favorite part of homecoming week is definantly Rough Neck volleyball. If there was a mens volleyball team here i would be playing. Im also excited for the dance itself. Its a fun to dress up and get our grooves on. Jacob or (Sir Jacob Matthew) and I have recently learned the Thriller dance, so watch out everybody.

Why are people so fat?

People in the U.S. are fat becuase of the increase in food production. With the increase in food production comes increase in foods with high fat percentages. With the increase of food with high fat comes the increase of fat people. Luckily we live in Colorado, where we dont see alot of fat people. But if you go to Texas, you see an obese person everywhere you go.

Song Analysis

I would have to say my favorite song is The Piano Man by Billy Joel. The song is about Billy Joel singing in a bar watching the people around him and what they really want to do with their lives. I like the song becuase of the tone, and the mood. Its somewhat sad and cuts to the core. I think the only thing about the lyrics that people wont like, is that it talks about alcohal.
